Twilight Teachers Courses

Every year we evaluate the needs of teachers for suitable music courses. In the past we have run courses on the primary music curriculum, singing, effective planning and assessment, composing, listening, World Music and music ICT.

This academic year 2005 – 2006 teachers are able to choose which term they would like to attend a 2 hour session on classroom music. Each delegate takes away a CD Rom with the complete curriculum and the opportunity to have free support in the classroom to develop their skills.

Music in the Infant Classroom and Music in the Junior Classroom Course Content

Course activities will include:

• Planning well-balanced lessons from the highly detailed Getaround Music multimedia disc.
• Setting up and using the disc.
• Practise of key activities in the scheme.
• The opportunity to observe midweek classes at the music centre and arrange free school visits for classroom demonstrations and observation.
