Brighton & Hove Music, Arts and Study Support is committed to working in partnership with our colleagues in schools to promote participation, ensure access and raise standards in music and performing arts. We aim to achieve this through providing a holistic range of services including our instrumental teaching programme, a series of projects and workshops delivered by local and national artists, resources such as our world music instruments, and performance opportunities.
Alongside these activities, our Primary/Special School Music Curriculum Coordinator and Dance Development Officer provide specific curriculum support in music and dance to schools. This support includes the delivery of networking opportunities to share best practice, a range of courses and conferences, as well as providing specific tailored support to schools in areas such as developing schemes of work, self review and engaging with Every Child Matters.
