Instrumental Lessons

Which Instruments Can I Learn?

Tuition is available to all pupils at Brighton & Hove LEA schools and VIth Form Colleges. Pupils are offered opportunities to learn at particular stages of their school life. Some instruments are more appropriate to learn as children reach a certain stage of physical development, whereas others are made in a range of different sizes and are therefore possible to start at a younger age.

Below is a table showing when children and young people are first given the opportunity to learn particular instruments. It is, of course, possible to take up an instrument at a later stage as we aim to respond to the needs of pupils and schools throughout school life.
